KDB I'll admit that I bought this product expecting it not to work on my corse hair, but it's actually awesome! I just use a pea size amount and run my hands through my hair and it waves up instantly and it dosen't weigh my hair down!

ShellsterBellster I use this with the BB Sea Salt Spray and it does what no other product has ever done for my slick, fine, straight hair. It gives me that "wet/scrunched" look I've only dreamt of that holds (seriously) ALL DAY! I bet it would work well by itself, but I always use the spray first on damp hair, then warm this up in my hands (helps it distribute easier) and put about 5 sm. dollops throughout my hair. You won't need as much if you don't have enough hair for 3 people's heads, like I do. I have VERY straight hair and a lot of it, so I clump up the product-filled sections or hair and clip to my head to air dry while I do my make-up and get dressed, then use a diffuser hair-dryer to finish the job if it's still wet. DO NOT put this on anything but damp, towel-dried hair. It needs that moisture to work properly. It leaves stickiness on your hands after you've applied it, but you can wash it off your hands and once dry on your hair, you won't notice any stickiness anymore. I love it and will be making that my go-to product for scrunchy/all-day styled hair. :)

TC I absolutely SWEAR.BY.THIS.PRODUCT. It has replaced the DevaCurl styling cream I used to use that was $25 for only 5oz! And, unlike this product, a little did NOT go a long way so I was breezing through bottles racking up a hefty bill.

But I digress. I wear my hair like a well defined curly afro, and my hair is very thick, so a heavier product like this one is great for me. But the good thing about this is, even if you have thinner hair, you can control the look by how much you apply. It does go a very long way so if you want beachy waves, I would put about a garbanzo bean size of this stuff in your hands and emulsify it first before applying to wet/damp hair.

I put this on while I'm in the shower with my hair very wet. A big key for the best results and a visible difference is in application. I actually don't scrunch this in my hair, it doesn't look as defined as when I finger comb it through the ends of my hair. The curls get immediately tamed but still full and bouncy. I use about double the amount you would use for toothpaste and rub it in between my hands (very important!) so that you don't just get a big glob on your hair. It is sticky, so you have to "break it up" in your hands - at least that's what's worked for me. I usually put a leave in conditioner on first and then use this for the hold, and it's worked marvelously. I'll be using this as long as I can!!

Pati This product was too sticky for my hair. Unlike it's name (Beach Babe) this product is NOT laid-back-grab-and-go, you gotta work it! If you don't work it it will not spread nicely which will cause strands of hair to dry out and feel crunchy. On a good note, even if it does dry out I didn't notice product flakes. When I did have time to work it into my hair (I'm talking salon-style kinda blow-out), this product gave me lift and thickness. When I used my curling iron, I got a longer lasting curl.

So, all in all, this goop is decent and just needs a name change, less sticky/tacky feeling. Would give 3 stars, but stickiness drops it to 2.

BTW, my product reference on styling creams are Bumble&Bumbles Styling Creme, Living Proof Prime Style Extender

thegaymcgyver An associate told me about the Beach Babe line a while ago--been using the Sea Salt Spray ever since and love it. Thought I would give this a try but tbh it is really lame! Smells good per all Beach Babe stuff, but it is super thick and almost goes on like a pomade, which then weights down the waves/curls in your hair. If let to air dry, it gets kind of crunchy and looks too piecy, if blown out with a diffuser it looks frizzy and dries hair out. Such a bummer cause I love the Salt Spray and even the Shampoo and Conditioner are alright.

Evan Becky I bought this sample tube on a whim just trying to find something that would revitalize my curls. I had read online where a girl used sea salt spray to make her curls curlier and I knew this brand's spray was very well loved. My hair is very fine and not as curly as it used to be (I'm having problems dealing). If my hair is too moisturized, it gets weighed down and won't curl. If the product is too heavy, it weighs my curls down. If the product isn't strong enough, my hair frizzes. It's very frustrating sometimes. Like other commenters have said, this stuff is really sticky, but I put a dime sized amount in the palms of my hands, rub it together and then water it down. It spreads a lot easier like that. For my just-past-shoulder length hair, doing this about 3 times is perfect. And as other people have said, it does dry your hair out some, but that's what I need. Just get a good shampoo and conditioner. I plopped my hair last night (wikihow has a good tutorial) and it looks the best it has in a loooong time!

Fairy Princess First off, I bought this product when I saw it on the shelf. I opened it to smell it and it was the smell that got me! It smells sooo good, like a sweet coconutty. Then I read the label and it said texturizing cream and I thought since I have such fine thin hair, maybe this will liven & awaken my hair. And it did just that! This product does EXACTLY what it claims to! You're suppose to take a small amount, rub it in your palms, then apply it to your hair in a scrunching-motion, grabbing the ends of your hair and scrunching them upwards towards your roots. And LET ME TELL YOU, the first time I used it, I was so amazed! With straight hair, it REALLY gives your hair that edgy fierce texture & VOLUME. With wavy or curly hair, it gives your hair a lot of volume & texture and really gives it a matte finish. EXCELLENT product, you should buy this if you want texture in your hair! Not kidding.

Ulta Fanatic I love the sea salt spray so when these products were BOGO 50% I thought why not try this product. I do not like it at all. It makes my hair more frizzy and doesn't seem to control it at all. I won't be using it with the sea salt spray anymore.

Megan I absolutely love this product. I was looking for something to liven up the very slight natural wave my hair has, and I couldn't be more pleased. The smell is wonderful, just like coconuts, and I love that I can put it in my hair and let it work its magic by itself. I place a dime-ish sized amount in my palm, rub it between my hands, scrunch it throughout my hair, and allow my hair to air dry. As my hair is drying, I'll periodically scrunch the ends. I was initially worried because the product felt pretty sticky, but it doesn't feel that way at all once you get it in your hair and it dries. It really does make your hair look like you got back from a day at the beach! I think I will definitely be purchasing the spray that goes along with this.
